NEW YORK, NY — The Event Leadership Institute (ELI), a publisher of online event planning courses, today released a new class entitled “Invitations 101: Folds, Papers, Printing Techniques & More.”   Written and produced especially for event planners, or those interested in careers in event planning, the course teaches the fundamentals of designing, printing, and mailing high-quality invitations for special events including weddings, religious ceremonies and social functions.

“High-quality invitations are often the last thing on the planner’s agenda yet the most basic ingredient for a successful event,” said Howard Givner, founder and president of ELI.  “Our ‘Invitations 101’ class is designed to give event professionals fast, expert knowledge they need to confidently handle this fundamental part of successful event planning.”

The 30-minute online video class, is produced in digital HD video, is presented by printing and graphic arts expert Steve Paster, president, Alpine Creative Group. The class covers envelope and paper selection, printing and stamping techniques, the use of color and special graphic effects, dealing with clients and the post office, and snail mail vs. e-distribution.The material in this course is especially relevant for anyone who wants to become a wedding planner.

The “Invitations 101” class is produced in ELI’s exclusive “micro-teach” format, allowing viewers fast, one-click access to all class chapters during viewing.

The class is available online for individual purchase for $40 (one year of viewing).  ELI users can also view this class, and all other ELI classes, for a $25 per month subscription fee.
