I&I: Hollywood Ribbon Industries diversifies its seasonal business

The annual market for glass ornaments is estimated at $50,000,000 and orders are already coming in.  James R. Scott, President of Hollywood Ribbon says, “the timing could not be better, many retailers are looking for a new domestic supplier that manufactures high quality goods at low prices”.  Mr. Scott (no relation to Ed Scott) goes on to say, “With all the potential hazards associated with imported products, most retailers want a product they can trust from a company they know.”  Gregg Fresonke, Sales and Marketing Director, indicates that the company already works with seasonal buyers and Holly Glass will help the company provide a broader range of competitively priced seasonal products to both new and current customers.  The new Holly Glass division is also a better fit with tinsel garland and hand tied bows that had formerly been marketed with gift-wrap ribbon and bows.  Fresonke expects significant sales gains on both product lines going into the 2010 Christmas season; with existing customers adding Holly Glass, better penetration with garland and hand-tied bows, and glass customers adding Hollywood Ribbon gift wrap products.

Hollywood Ribbon Industries is an employee owned corporation based in Los Angeles, California, the largest prime manufacturer of polypropylene ribbon in the western United States.  The company produces materials in Los Angeles and does labor-intensive packaging and winding at a company owned maquiladora in Baja California, Mexico.  For additional information please contact Gregg Fresonke, Director of Sales and Marketing, at 800-457-7652, extension 130.
